Festival Feelin' | Beauty

Hello Lovelies,

Today I thought i would do something perfect for this season - a festival look!! I absolutely love festival style, make up, hair, just everything, and i am SO sad i can't get to any festivals this year :( But I will still be dressing up and feelin' the festival vibes... think Vanessa Hudgens at Coachella, that is ALL the goals!

Me and Zoe (fashionistastudios) have paired up to create a fab festival look for you - I have created a festival inspired make up look along with hairsyles and Zoe has done festival fashion & tips!

For this look i have used purple and pink hues, and also added a fairly dramatic festival face pattern! In my hair i have plaited the front with four plaits and put into a messy bun, which i think is perfect to maintain in a long festival weekend; this can also be paired with some hair accessories:

Local Lovin' | Lifestyle

Hello Lovelies,

The 1st June - 14th June marks the East of England Co-Op "Sourced Locally Fortnight" and i thought this is an excellent opportunity for me to share my love of local produce! Growing up, i have always been told to wait until spring/summer for strawberries despite my undying love for them all year round - but for me now, nothing compares to the taste of British local and homegrown strawbs!

Over the past year or so, i have become far more ethically and environmentally cautious, and my aim is to leave the smallest possible footprint on the world; whether it is harming less animals, buying less artificial processed food, re-cycling, and buying British made clothing/grown food. This article puts it quite simply - we need to help our earth!

So, i popped down to my EoE Co-Op store to see what they had:

They have everything from teas to chocolate, cakes, cookies, bread flour to lemonade, strawberries and apples! I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, some of which was sourced from about 2 minutes from my house!!

I, of course got myself a selection of goodies...

These are a few of my fave food bits i picked up (trying to be healthy!!) The hot chocolate is to die for, as are the strawberries, and lemonade!!!

I hope this will encourage you to pop down to your local store and see what local produce you can pick up, to help support our local farms and economy! I would obviously suggest you pick vegan options also :) Don't forget to share on the #iheartlocal hashtag!

Thanks so much for reading!

A Fresh Start | Lifestyle

Hello Lovelies,

Today marks the 1st June, and the halfway month of the year, and i think this is a great time for reflection and forward planning to make the rest of the year amazing!

At the moment, i have been struggling with exam pressures, working and anxiety and sometimes i just get a little overwhelmed - so i am making this post to share what i am going to do to better myself for the rest of the year!

A lovely soul named Rosie is a huge inspiration of mine, and she is launching a 'June Fresh Start' challenge over on her tumblr and instagram  which includes daily challenges, as well as weekly goals!

I am going to attempt to do this challenge, as i think it is an excellent way of expanding the mind as well as connecting with other souls. Rosie always promotes health and well being as well as balance which i think is so important in every ones lifetime, and often gets pushed aside. As a yoga lover, i will be using this as my exercise throughout and beyond this challenge.

I hope you will join me, or follow along with me in this challenge - resulting in a happier, healthier, stress free lifestyle!

(I will be doing this over on my lifestyle instagram @healing_my_soul)

Thanks so much for reading - hope you are all well,

Mauricia xxx
